Key College’s Employability Skills Study Programme for learners with English as an additional language
Key College’s Study Programme in Employability for learners who have English as an additional language is a free 34 week course for those aged 16 to 18 (19 to 24 in some cases) leading to a recognised Employability qualification from City and Guilds. This Study Programme is one of few in Derbyshire that is geared towards equipping you, whether you have much exposure to English or little, with the functional level of English and the application writing and interview skills needed to succeed in the UK in the modern recruitment process. It is highly recommended by those who have been on it.
This Study Programme is roll-on, roll-off: you can enrol in any week of the year. It is delivered over three days a week and includes qualifications in mathematics (as well as English and employability skills). You will benefit from one‐to‐one support, small class sizes and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There will also be the opportunity to take part in work experience.
